Parent Support for Anxious Children
Does your child's anxiety limit their life? Are you exhausted from trying everything to help them feel braver?
You're not the problem - but you can be the solution.
Maybe you've read all the books on gentle parenting. You're using connection-based strategies, positive reinforcement, and endless patience. You're doing everything "right" - but your child still struggles.
You're not alone, and there is hope. The problem isn't your approach - it's that anxiety requires specific, evidence-based techniques that most parenting advice doesn't cover.
I support parents virtually online, from my home in Guildford, Surrey using proven, parent-led techniques including the SPACE anxiety treatment program.
Here's what makes this different: You attend the sessions. You learn the strategies. You make the changes. And both you AND your child feel better.
No more begging your child to "just try" or feeling helpless watching them struggle.

How I work with parents
I'll teach you practical strategies you can use every day to support your child's journey towards becoming more confident, resilient and independent.
Free Discovery Call (30 mins)
We'll discuss your child's specific challenges, your family situation, and whether parent-led support is right for you. There's no pressure - just an honest conversation about how I can help.
1:1 Coaching Sessions
We'll work together in regular one-hour sessions (typically every 2-3 weeks) via Zoom. This gives you time to implement changes between sessions and see real progress.
Both parents are encouraged to attend together when possible, though sessions can be recorded for sharing.
Between sessions, I'm available for check-ins and questions. You'll never feel alone on this journey.

What is Parent Coaching?
Practical Parenting Strategies
I'll teach you practical strategies you can use every day to support your child's journey towards becoming more confident, resilient and independent.
These methods are grounded in the latest science on how anxiety develops and can be overcome. They're designed to build lasting change, not quick fixes.
Who benefits from parent coaching?
-
Children struggling with bedtime separation or sleep anxiety
-
Children who can't speak at school or to certain people (selective mutism)
-
Children avoiding clubs, playdates or new experiences
-
Children with specific phobias or generalised anxiety
-
Children who seem "stuck" in anxious patterns
-
Neurodivergent children with anxiety challenges
You don't need a diagnosis. You don't need your child to agree to treatment. You just need to be ready to make changes yourself.

What is the SPACE Anxiety Treatment Program?
A proven approach to helping your child overcome anxiety
What if you could help your child overcome anxiety without even asking them to change?
The SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) program empowers you to make the difference.
You've probably tried to encourage them to face their fears. And you've probably found that doesn't work.
In the SPACE program...
-
You attend the virtual sessions (not your child)
-
You learn the strategies based on cutting-edge research
-
You create the changes that help your child overcome anxiety

Children of any age experiencing anxiety
-

Families wanting to address anxiety early before it becomes more severe

A formal diagnosis

Your child to attend any sessions
-
To wait months for NHS support

Why I Love Parent-Led Coaching Approaches
As a parent, I'm doing all the work, meaning no convincing my child to engage
When my daughter had selective mutism, taking her to traditional therapy wasn't an option. She couldn't engage in the sessions because she couldn't speak.
Like you might have experienced, I tried everything: rewards, encouragement, gentle pushing, backing off completely. Nothing worked, and I felt more helpless every day.
That's when I discovered parent-led approaches. I learned that by changing my responses and behaviours around her anxiety, I could help her build confidence without asking her to do anything that felt scary.
The results were incredible. Not only did my daughter make dramatic progress, but I felt empowered and in control for the first time in years.
This approach has now helped dozens of families I've worked with experience the same transformation.

FAQs

How long does it take to see results?
Most families notice changes within the first few weeks. However, lasting change typically develops over 8-12 sessions. Every child and family is different, and we'll work at a pace that feels manageable for you.
What if my child is neurodivergent?
No problem - many of the families I support have neurodivergent children. Anxiety and emotion regulation challenges are very common with neurodivergent conditions. The SPACE program has been validated as effective for autistic children.
What if only one parent can attend?
That's fine. Many families have one parent attending. Sessions can be recorded so your partner can watch them later and stay informed.
Do you work with children directly?
No - my approach is entirely parent-led. You attend the sessions, and you implement the strategies at home. This is actually more effective than traditional child therapy for many anxiety challenges.

Where are the sessions held?
I'm based in Surrey, but individual sessions are hosted online, on Zoom. This means I can support families throughout Surrey, across the UK and internationally. If you have access to the internet, I can help you.

Who comes to the sessions?
The parents come to the sessions, not the child. Ideally both parents attend (if possible) so you can support each other and stay consistent with the approach. However, sessions can be recorded and confidentially shared after the session so that both parent can have access to all the same information.
How long and how often are the sessions?
The sessions are 1 hour long. I recommend attending a session every 2-3 weeks. This spacing allows you to implement changes at home and see progress between sessions.
